The 2013 Shriekfest Horror Film Festival is in full swing and the judges are putting out their decisions. Geno McGahee, horror filmmaker responsible for EVIL AWAKENING, RISE OF THE SCARECROWS, FAMILY SECRET, SCARY TALES, SICKLE, LONE GUNMAN and is in the process of currently writing a zombie film DEAD CORN got the good news that his alien horror screenplay “THEY’RE TAKING OVER” has made it into the quarter finals.
McGahee has had a very good run lately. In the 2012 Shriekfest Horror Film Festival, McGahee’s screenplay “HEAD HUNTER” made it to the semi-finals and his horror anthology “SCARY TALES” nearly made the semi-finals. SCARY TALES would find success as an “Official Selection” at the Horror On Sea Film Festival. At the Alex Jones Operation Paul Revere Film Festival, McGahee’s short film “LONE GUNMAN” would make major noise, finishing just below the finals.
