Dr. Britt Baker is back and enclosed in plexiglass. She is the best thing going on the show. She is so great as a heel and has found her groove. She is so funny.
Hikaru Shida comes out for her warm up match with Penelope Ford in a match with the unknown Red Velvet. Immediately, Shida is in Ford’s face outside of the ring. Ford takes a cheap shot, leading to an angry Shida beating Red Velvet in mere seconds, getting the 1-2-3 with the falcon arrow.
Kip Sabian calmed Ford down but was very upset because his sunglasses got broken in the scuffle. Sabian is fantastic. He gets funnier by the week.
Cody Rhodes and Jake Hager are featured in a press conference, but Hager is MIA. Arn begins and says “it’s not time for Hager.” Anderson is so good at promos. Cody notes that being the TNT champ “feels like hope”.
Hager shows up with his wife. Cody and Hager go into the showdown and it’s being treated like a typical boxing/MMA press conference. Hager’s wife throws a drink in Cody’s face, ending the press conference.
