This is the match that I’ve been really looking forward to. There is so much mystery going into this one as the champions, Hangman Page and Kenny Omega defend against FTR with Tully Blanchard. Is this the night when the belts change hands? Will we see a heel turn by Page or Omega?
Hangman Page insists on starting the match with Cash Wheeler. The tension between Page and Omega seemed to smooth out and they are working together well and owning the action for now.
An update on Matt Hardy and Sammy Guevara is given. Both are injured but both are going to be OK, according to reports.
The tag team skills of FTR are starting to make the difference. They are isolating Page and putting down the beat down. Omega gets into the ring and starts beating down both members of FTR. This is such a great match!
Wheeler kicked out of a missile dropkick, but barely. FTR gets a near fall after a series of moves. The champions regain control and get another near fall. They are going for the Last Call. FTR blocks it. They were ready for it. This is an intense match.
FTR lands a great move that used to be used by Power and Glory, but it only gets a 2 count. All hell is breaking loose in the ring with all four men. Tiger Driver leads to another 2 count. Omega is put into the inverted figure four for a submission. Omega makes it to the ropes.
Page has been on the apron for some time now, suspiciously. FTR keeps working on that leg and Omega is in serious trouble. A Snap Dragon but a kick to Omega knocks him into Page and he’s off the apron again.
Page finally gets into the ring and starts doing damage. They go out of the ring and Page does a leap onto them. The champions have never had a match this tough. FTR has had most of the control in this match. Omega is injured and they are putting the pain on Page.
FTR lands a bulldog on Omega to the concrete floor. AMAZING! Page is now alone to take them on. A top rope bulldog on Page leads to a near fall again. What does FTR have to do to end this match?! They’ve tried everything!
Page is calling for the Last Call, but Omega may not be in shape to make it happen. Page gets hit with the V Trigger, leading to the spike piledriver and it’s another 2 count. Tully is pissed! They get a second spike piledriver to get the 3 count and we have new champions! Omega seems disgusted with Page for losing. He goes backstage and leaves with the Bucks.
