Speaking to the song, vocalist Roy Waston said, “Have you ever questioned why life doesn’t slow down? In a world of loud thinkers, silence acts as nothing but a pawn in the iris of opportunity. We have all chosen blind ignorance over action at times, normally not down to a lack of ability, but because true progress feeds off a constant moulding discomfort which is difficult to stand in the centre of. How Well Do You Really Know Yourself?”
Last year, GroundCulture announced their signing to Hopeless Records and re-issued their self-titled EP,, which was rereleased in June of last year.
GroundCulture is made up of Roy Watson (vocals), Lewi Shoulder (guitar), Mattie Turner (guitar), George Collings (bass), and Andy Lonsdale (drums). Hailing from Newcastle, the band has been steadily touring since the release of their self-titled EP in June 2018, including a run opening for Crossfaith.
Speaking to the dynamic of the band, GroundCulture described themselves as “…five segments of the same vision. We are one culture cursed by a disconnect inside the fabrics of our conscious mind. We are the backs against the wall, determined to inspire change through connection.”
