We begin scanning the crowd and I’m happy to see Dr. Britt Baker in attendance. She’s on her Role’s Royce and already looks unhappy. She may be the best thing going in wrestling today.
Chris Jericho of the Inner Circle comes out and joins Tony Schiavone, Jim Ross and Excalibur in the commentary booth. This promises to be a great night!
We begin with the Butcher and the Blade, back in their regular black gear, taking on FTR (Formerly the Revival) and they arrive in an old school pickup truck. The team that debuted a couple weeks ago is already being treated better than they did in WWE.
In the crowd is Tully Blanchard and Arn Anderson watching on and it’s appropriate. FTR is very similar to the Brain Busters/4 Horsemen that was Anderson and Blanchard. This is very old school tag team wrestling and FTR is made for a group like the 4 horsemen.
A spike pile driver gets the 1-2-3 and the first win for FTR. I sort of feel bad for the Butcher and Blade…they never win. The Young Bucks came out and wanted to express gratitude for the rescue a couple weeks ago and also threw down the challenge.
