(Warner Bros. Home Entertainment provided me with a free copy of the Blu-ray I reviewed in this blog post. The opinions I share are my own.)
On February 4th, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment releases the hit anime series FLCL: Progressive and FLCL: Alternative on Blu-ray and DVD. A total of 12 episodes, FLCL covers the adventures of two teenagers, Hidomi and Ide, along with Haruko, in an ongoing adventure that is well-written and action-packed.
The show was brought to the screen by Adult Swim, a company known for its artistic edge and FLCL fits right in with the vibe that they are known for. FLCL: Progressive is a follow-up to the 2001 original, “FLCL”, and we get some new characters and the same style that we were treated to in the original. FLCL: Alternative brings in a young teen, Kana, and her group of friends, into further adventures in this ongoing series.
FLCL: PROGRESSIVE & ALTERNATIVE COMBO PACK is a really cool anime series with great writing and style, with an ongoing story that is fun to follow and notable characters.
