“Most families have secrets”
This movie being the third from Xposse Productions and was written and directed by the horror master from Massachusetts, USA, Geno McGahee.
So the movie…
Geno McGee (Forris Day JR) is a hard working journalist, constantly trying to expose wrongdoings, is suddenly informed of his grandma’s death, meaning a reunion with his dysfunctional family in which he dreads…
And as he attends the funeral, there’s obvious tensions and rivalries within the family, Geno not liking his brother in law, Sam, (Rick Caride) who as an attitude problem, then there is, Gary, (Alex Pierpaoli) who is a giant of a man, with a attitude to suit, also despises his daughter’s choice in boyfriend’s. His daughter Sarah, (Meghan Winkler) dating Tyrone, (Bryan Hickson)
Tyrone is the first to die in this movie, whilst walking under moonlight with Sarah, somebody dressed like the grandma, attacking them with a meat cleaver.
This is the beginning of suspicions and paranoia within Geno’s family, and as the body count rises the finger is pointed at, Geno, the reporter who is also trying to crack the case and clear his name…
This movie also deals with modern day issues, such as unemployment and lack of money, and as for the story line, it’s tight and does keep you guessing right through the movie, constantly wondering who the murderer is and what is the big family secret?
And one of my favourite scenes being as the movie starts to draw to a climax we witness a massacre at the Bowling Alley, where the killer disguised as the, Phyliss McGhee is on the rampage with her cleaver.
And Wow what a finish, as most movies you can figure them out, at least half way through, but not this one, it just has you guessing right up till the end… The writer and director, Geno McGahee sure as created a little movie magic with this gem and his directing is superb, the cast are great, as Forris Day JR plays an outstanding leading role, however my slight disappointment being the lack of, Steve Joseph Adams, who only plays a very small part as a coach, as I do think he was outstanding in the two previous movies created by Geno…
It leaves me to say, WATCH THIS MOVIE.
I am sure you definitely won’t be disappointed…
As regards Family Secret…
