I don’t think that there’s a more likable person than Dolly Parton. She just has a genuine kindness that comes out and she has proven to own every medium she’s tackled. From music to acting, she has stood out and now there is a release from Time Life coming out on September 21st: DOLLY: THE ULTIMATE COLLECTION.
Without question, this is a collector’s item and a must for any fan of Dolly’s career and contributions to the art. Starting from the 1960s to current time, the journey is well presented and shows just how amazing a performer she is. From her variety show in the 1980s to her concerts, this is about a thorough and complete collection there can be. I especially enjoyed the fact that they included her Christmas stuff as well. Dolly seems to connect with that holiday very well. I think I’m nostalgic too and I remembered a lot of the stuff that I was watching.
Time Life does it better than any other when it comes to collector’s items. They really knocked it out of the park here, remastering and presenting an overview of Parton’s career.
DOLLY: THE ULTIMATE COLLECTION is a great set and a must own for any fan of Parton and her run in so many fields. I highly recommend picking this one up.
