Power-punching UK heavyweight, Daniel Dubois, 13-0, 12 KO’s, had absolutely no problem stopping the unknown challenger, Ebenezer Tetteh, 19-1, 16 KO’s, in one round. The positive that came out of this was that Tetteh is no longer unknown. We know he’s not very good and his 19 victories were over fighters that had, for the most part, losing records. In no way, should he have been in the ring with the rising star, Dubois.
Dubois didn’t waste any time and attacked Tetteh early. Tetteh had no answer and was way off target with his punches. A left hook landed and put Tetteh down. He would get up and get knocked down again shortly after. Wobbly on his feet, the referee stopped the fight. It was a mismatch of heavyweight proportions and now Dubois can move on to a challenger that has beaten opponents that had pulses.
Dubois is one of the most exciting fighters in the division but the jury is still out until he faces a fighter with a legitimate track record.
