Jon Moxley cuts a promo about his tornado tag team match tonight with Darby Allin as they take on Brian Cage and Ricky Starky. Moxley is hilarious and his delivery is amazing. I’m sure the WWE is kicking themselves for not allowing him to cut his own promos.
Here comes the independent sensation, the metal head, Warhorse, has made his way to the AEW ring for the first time as he takes on Cody Rhodes for the TNT title. The TNT title has allowed a lot of newcomers to make their debut and it’s really the best part of it. Warhorse is announced as weighing “4000 pounds of metal” and there to “rule ass”. You can’t get better than that.
Cody is using more heel tactics and Arn Anderson is not happy. He wants him all business. Warhorse has a lot of unique moves. At one point, he does a criss cross in the ropes and then launches off the second rope to land a clothesline. It was pretty sensational.
Cody takes control, including a superplex and a figure four which was reversed by Warhorse. Anderson is having a hard time controlling Cody. Warhorse has control and he is taking his time as he climbs the ropes. Cody rolls out but gets a double stomp to the back of his neck. It was another move you don’t see a lot.
I can see why Warhorse had such demand for this match. He’s easy to root for. He has gotten a lot of near falls thus far. Warhorse hurt his leg and Cody puts the figure four in again and Warhorse taps out. Damn. Hopefully AEW keeps Warhorse. He would be a good addition.
