It’s TNT title time as the defending champion, Cody Rhodes, with Arn Anderson, takes on Orange Cassidy. Rhodes had dyed his hair blonde again. As much as I’d like to see Cassidy win this one, I don’t think it’s going to happen.
Darby Allin is in the rafters, watching the match. He has to be the next challenger for the TNT title. They have to come up with a light heavyweight belt. They have so many good lighter guys.
Cody is still recovering from the dog collar match with Mr. Brodie Lee from last week. Cassidy is immediately annoying the champ. Cody is not taking kindly to the antics of the challenger, but it’s all part of Cassidy’s game. He’s trying to get into the head of the champion.
The strength of Cody is the deciding factor so far. Cassidy is having a hard time keeping up with the wrestling ability and power of Cody, but he has proven in the past that he can take a beating and keep going.
Cassidy is finally gaining momentum. The Dark Order tries to interfere but get ejected. Cody starts working on the leg of Cassidy, setting up the figure four. Cody is showing his mean streak and is really putting on the punishment.
A diving top rope DDT from Cassidy gets a near fall. Cassidy’s leg is really hurting and cannot get his offense going to its fullest. Cody locks in the figure four and Cassidy is in extreme pain. He is able to reverse it, but it’s reversed again and Cassidy is once again in big trouble. Cassidy finally reaches the ropes.
Damn, Cassidy is nearly winning this thing! He landed the Beach Break for a near fall. The time ran out and we have a draw. Damn!!!!!!!!
