Queen of Swords
The Queen of Swords is not driven by sentiment, but rather facts and reason. She is astute, well-read, successful in nearly all areas of her life and puts much pressure on herself to attain the goals she has set.
Sympathy, compassion and love aren’t often motivating factors in the Queen of Swords approach. It isn’t that she doesn’t feel such emotions, but rather that she can step away from them to adequately assess a situation and do what is needed. The brazen method isn’t always well-received but by those with thicker skins is respected. Those who are in need of hearing the harshest truths seek out advice from the Queen of Swords as they know she places honesty above all else – even friendship.
Anger is the one emotion that sometimes overpowers reason within the Queen of Swords. If she or someone she cares about has been threatened or betrayed, the wrath of the Queen can be downright scary. Though she will still try to think out her moves in the same fact-based approach she uses in every other area of life, here it allows her the ability to be more calculated and vengeful in her methodology. The Queen considers herself a righteous and just individual. She reacts destructively only when she feels she has not received the same consideration she gives others.
That isn’t to say she doesn’t have a heart. Quite the contrary as her harsh approach often comes from love and loyalty to her friends and family. She feels the only way to truly protect is with brutal honesty and saying the things that others are too afraid to say. When she loves, she loves completely –she just doesn’t hold back the truth out of love. Rather, she tells the truth because of love.
Due to the strength and often domineering temperament of the Queen of Swords, friends and family do often turn to her for resolution – but only when they’re absolutely sure she will take their side and fight their battle for them.
