Oh shit! Jake “The Snake” Roberts and Lance Archer is caught up with at a junkyard, destroying some jobber. Archer notes that “everyone dies” and Roberts apologizes for his client’s behavior. I hope they don’t break them up.
Private Party is hanging out and Matt Hardy comes in and tells them that he enjoyed their match last week. Hardy offers his advice and they note a “Hardy Party” idea. Hardy runs into Sammy Guevara but there’s no violence. Hardy tells him “respect” and Sammy is confused. He’s used to the Broken Matt Hardy…the one that has been giving him the Twist of Fate at every turn.
Mike Tyson is shown upset noting that Chris Jericho is going to “get knocked out.” This leads to Colt Cabana vs. Chris Jericho. Jericho was held back from Cabana during the Tyson conflict and the former AEW champion is not happy. He holds Cabana responsible.
Sammy Guevara comes out singing to the tune “Judas” and he’s so fucking funny. Jericho claps in appreciation. The Inner Circle is so tremendous. Jake Hager is the backup for Jericho tonight and Cabana is going to have his hands full.
Cabana lands a moonsault on the outside of the ring on both Jericho and Hager. Hager didn’t take it lightly and attacked Cabana, running him into the post. Guevara is on the stage, watching the action as he still nurses his injury, using a cart to get around.
After being dominated, Cabana finally gets some offense in. He lands the bionic elbow, followed by the flying apple and splash, leading to a near fall. Jericho gets the lion tamer but Cabana reaches the ropes.
Cabana has the momentum, leading to near fall to near fall, but the Judas Effect lands and we get the 1-2-3 for Jericho. Watching Guevara celebrate is something that I could watch all day. He is so fucking funny. Jericho takes the microphone and demands that the crowd “shuts their ass.”
Jericho calls Mike Tyson a “piece of shit.” A Mike Tyson – Chris Jericho match is coming soon. He calls him out and awaits in the ring for the former boxing undisputed champion of the world. Orange Cassidy answered the call to the demand of facing the “baddest man on the planet.” Cassidy is hilarious.
Cassidy eludes the attacks of the Inner Circle and leaves the ring. A Jericho-Cassidy match is definitely coming.
