Warner Bros Home Entertainment has just released C.B. STRIKE: LETHAL WHITE, an HBO original series, written by J.K. Rowling. As expected, the show is incredibly well written and complex, leading the viewer down a trail and it just keeps turning up the intensity scene by scene.
Tom Burke is just tremendous as Cormoran Strike, a private detective that mixes a dramatic approach with some action star mixed in. He really sells the part and watching him deal with the cases at hand are really great. Teamed up with Robin (Holliday Grainger), the two encounter very powerful people and difficult obstacles to overcome to bring the justice.
There are four episodes and they go by quickly. The suspense and drama are high and the constant threat against the detectives keeps the viewer on edge. HBO doesn’t put anything bad out. They always put out quality stuff and this is no different. This is a great experience and it keeps you guessing and entertained.
C.B. STRIKE: LETHAL WHITE is such a good series. I highly recommend it. I was able to spend a Sunday watching the entire show and I am happy that I did. It was gritty and intense. It’s a winner.
