Belmont Signs to Pure Noise Records – Breaking Music News

Geno

Progressive-punk quintet, Belmont, are excited to share that they have signed with Pure Noise Records. To celebrate, they’ve released a new single and video, “By My Side” which is available to listen to and watch at https://youtu.be/Dv6DQliiHT8, as well as stream across DSPs including Spotify and Apple Music.

On signing with Pure Noise Records, guitarist Sam Patt shares, “We’ve been longtime fans of the label and their approach to working with artists, and we’re beyond excited to join a roster as expansive and unique as Pure Noise’s.”

Lead vocalist Taz Johnson continues, “‘By My Side’ focuses on the reality of becoming complacent in a relationship to the point of trading self progression for the feeling of comfort. We chose to shoot in a few locations but specifically the abandoned school because we wanted to reflect the idea of something that starts off beautiful but with time becomes unattended to and left to rot.”

Belmont is currently on the road with Grayscale for a North American tour, which wraps up up on October 5 in Philadelphia, PA. Following this run, Belmont will be heading across the pond to support Real Friends in the UK and Europe. Check out all upcoming dates below.

Belmont is a five-piece progressive-punk band based out of Chicago, IL. In 2014, lead vocalist Taz Johnson formed the band and together they released their debut EP Vicissitude, which was produced by Mat Kerekes of Citizen, and his brother, Chris. Since then, the band has released their sophomore EP, and just last year, released their debut full-length album – the latter of which hit #146 on the Billboard 200 chart.
