The DC animated movie BATMAN: THE DOOM THAT CAME TO GOTHAM has just been released on digital in 4K and on Blu-ray with a ton of extras that any fan of the Dark Knight will appreciate.

The take on the Batman character and the universe he resides in is very unique and adds a lot to the experience.  The great thing about the DC animated movies is that they can produce something out of the normal and have no restrictions in the presentation.

As always, the animation and atmosphere in the animated Batman movies is stellar and the voice acting is very good.  The normal villains that Batman usually faces are here in different versions and are pretty well-defined.

Killer Croc has a great role in this and his battles with Batman are very entertaining and brutal.  The entire experience is dark and there are constant threats to Gotham and Batman can only do so much.  You start to see just what sort of superhero he is as he shows his human side and has to overcome obstacles that other superheroes could with their added abilities.   It’s what makes Batman so popular.  He’s a different sort of superhero that relies on his intelligence, resourcefulness and inventiveness.

BATMAN: THE DOOM THAT CAME TO GOTHAM is a great addition to the other Batman films that have been released.  It’s a lot of fun and is very interesting with the different approach that was taken. I highly recommend it.
