One of the most popular superheroes is Batman.  Unlike many other superheroes, the Dark Knight brings a vulnerability and edge that make him a standout.  He’s just a regular guy that uses his intelligence and resources to take down every challenge.  Now, BATMAN: MASK OF THE PHANTASM has returned after 30 years on the shelf and it’s come back in style.  Totally re-mastered and put on 4K Ultra HD, this film looks just amazing.

BATMAN: MASK OF THE PHANTASM is a branch of the BATMAN ANIMATED SERIES tree and has the same gritty feel.  In the film, Batman is set up and wanted by the police and must chase down the mystery villain that is making his life hell.  The Phantasm has knowledge of Batman and there seems to be a definite connection and that is explored as Batman eludes the police and chases down the blast from the past.

The movie is tremendous and the ending is very satisfactory.  It’s just a lot of fun and if you like Batman and especially the darker side of the character, you’ll really enjoy this one.

This release comes with the feature but it also has a ton of bonus material, including the new featurette KEVIN CONROY: I AM THE KNIGHT and a bonus episode of the animated series.

I highly recommend this one.  The presentation is great and they did an awesome job on the re-mastering.  Batman fans, you won’t lose here.
