DC puts out a lot of really decent animated films with the ability to present the story without any restrictions. Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has just released BATMAN AND SUPERMAN: BATTLE OF THE SUPER SONS on 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray with the feature and some very nice bonus material.
This film understands the complex relationship between Superman and Batman and it’s transferred to their children as they try to co-exist for the greater good. The film focuses on these two characters and their journey rather than bringing in more familiar characters to keep the interest. They were confident in these characters and it worked out.
There are interesting bad guys and some familiar ones too. This is definitely geared to children and young adults, but I still found it enjoyable. The animation is very good and the storyline was a nice change from what I’ve come to know and what I anticipated.
BATMAN AND SUPERMAN: BATTLE OF THE SUPER SONS is a good film and good stocking stuffer for the child in your life. I recommend it.
