BABY GIRL, directed by Kevin Van Stevenson, features Sara Catherine Bellamy (YOU MIGHT BE THE KILLER) as Cody Fields. After the death of her father, Cody embarks on a dangerous journey and crosses path with a dangerous stranger that turns her world upside down. SYNOPSIS:
The dark, gritty and tawdry story of how one young woman, in a downward spiral of grief, becomes embroiled in the dangerously, sordid world of sex and drugs, and the desperate race to save her life.
BABY GIRL has been heavily anticipated since its multiple award wins as several highly respected film festivals. In 2018, it would win the Best LGBT Feature at the Aphrodite Film Awards and also saw nominations for Best Actress for Sara Catherine Bellamy as well as a Best Director nomination for Stevenson. The 2019 FirstGlance Film Fest Hollywood would also prove successful for BABY GIRL with nominations for Best Actress and Best Breakout Performance for Bellamy. Stevenson would pick up a nomination for Best Ensemble Cast. The 2019 Idyllwild International Festival of Cinema would see a win for the Cinematography and Editing for Stevenson and would see nominations for Bellamy (Best Actress), Heart (Best Supporting Actress), and Brandon Trask (Best Screenplay).
