Mikaela Mayer, 18-1, 5 KO’s, used her size and a sustained body attack to easily outpoint the game challenger, Lucy Wildheart, 10-2, 4 KO’s, taking a unanimous decision win by scores of 98-92, 100-90 and 98-91.
From the opening bell, Mayer was able to control the smaller Wildheart and easily absorbing the incoming and dominating the action. Neither fighter was hurt but it was easy to see that this was a one way fight.
Mayer probably didn’t make the statement she wanted to make, but she clearly won and is looking for a title shot.
