Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has just released PEACEMAKER: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON on Blu-ray and DVD, including all 8 episodes and two all-new featurettes.
John Cena has used the WWE to launch into the world of film and television. Using a mix of comedic timing and natural charm, Cena fits the role in PEACEMAKER, using humor and physicality that we have become accustomed to.
Cena’s no holds barred approach to the character that lives up to his name, looks for peace at any cost and sometimes blurs the line between hero and anti-hero. This is a role that Cena excels in and one that becomes more enjoyable with every episode.
The film history of Cena has been so good with the exception of some of his early work and this is another step in the right direction. He is joined by Danielle Brooks, Freddie Stroma, Jennifer Holland, Chukwudi Iwuji and Steve Agee. This is a lot of fun and that is the biggest thing about this series that I enjoyed the most. The DC show has a lot of unapologetic fun, bringing some similarities to the DEADPOOL approach to superheroes.
Along with the show, you get so many bonus features, including gag reel, the making of, and a lot more. I highly recommend this one.
