It was not the comeback fight that Joshua Greer JR., 22-2-2, 12 KO’s, wanted. He went to war with Edwin Rodriguez, 11-5-1, 5 KO’s, and it was a close fight where both men exchanged punches throughout. There were ebbs and flows and the final decision wasn’t a huge surprise. The judges saw it 77-75 for Rodriguez while the other two judges saw it 76-76.
Greer, JR., was coming on at the end and would have benefitted from something other than an 8 round fight. Had this been 10 or 12 rounds, he would have probably run away with it, but it was a short fight and a close fight. It could have gone either way. I think the decision was fair.
