7 Video Games You Shouldn’t Show Your Girlfriend

Geno

I’m a gamer. Consequently, I frequently ask professionals to do my homework for me, and prefer spending additional free time on video games. That’s my way to relax alone or with friends.

And I am lucky because my girlfriend is a gamer as well. She doesn’t mind playing games together, and we frequently go that way: we order essay help, turn on our PC’s, and dive into the gaming worlds. It’s okay for her to watch me walking through single-player stories, too.

Still, there are titles I wouldn’t recommend playing with a girlfriend (or letting her see them). Here below you’ll find seven video games you’d better play alone or with male friends. Spoiler: not all of those are horrors.

Resident Evil 7

After more than a decade, the reopening of an “old but gold” survival horror franchise turned from the third-person view to the first-person one again. This means the immersion got to a completely new level. Additionally, if previous Resident Evil games were rather action-based ones, then RE 7 got its gameplay totally changed.

Limited spaces, the environment suppressing the player all the time, and scary NPC’s pursuing you are combined with multiple episodes that are simply nasty. The story is so intriguing I preferred to go in for online statistics homework help services to have more time for it, but I’d never show the display to my girlfriend when RE7 is running.

Serious Sam 3

I’ll be simple: this is the game for real men. Someone might call me a masculine sexist, but the level of brutality and fast-paced action of this first-person shooter is probably unacceptable for the most part of girls I know.

There is a multiplayer mode allowing you to slay hordes of monsters together with friends. That’s really funny. But when I tried to let my girlfriend play Serious Sam 3, she screamed after the first enemy showed up, and pressed Alt+F4 instantly.

P.S. The fourth part of the franchise is not worth attention (IMHO).

Dead Space

This is the elite survival horror game for me. You are Isaac Clarke, a regular engineer who accidentally got trapped inside a huge spaceship. Then, you find out it is crowded by monsters of unknown origin.

Dead Space is a dark, thrilling and frightening, but involving story. Developers did everything to make the player dive into the setting completely. And that’s the reason why your girlfriend will doubtfully like it.

Alien: Isolation

Everyone heard about the legendary movie franchise by Ridley Scott at least once. There exist many video games inspired by and based on the films, but Alien: Isolation definitely is a special one.

You are Amanda Ripley, a daughter of a movie series protagonist Ellen Ripley who got missing in space after certain events (that’s how I avoid spoilers, I’m a good guy). Once, a signal reached your ship. It looked like the one sent from your mother’s spaceship lost decades ago.

Amanda reaches that ship, tries to check what’s inside, and gets isolated with a monster. Alien: Isolation is not a shooter game. It is a first-class survival horror game. I definitely recommend everyone regardless if you are a genre admirer or not.

Still, that’s not a game to show your girlfriend. She’s highly likely not to make it through the local suspenseful and dark atmosphere of fear and survival.

Dying Light

A few years back, when I asked a pro to help me write an essay and launched Dying Light for the first time, I understood it was a great zombie-action game. But its involving setting of a dead Arabic city covered with sand, and top-notch graphics make it so realistic that it is unsuitable for my girlfriend.

Still, there is a multiplayer mode, so you might try showing it to your GF. I sincerely hope you’ll be luckier than I was because Dying Light is extremely cool when you have a partner to play together.

Condemned: Criminal Origins

This game is the oldest one I picked for this set, but it’s just great. A perfect mix of action, detective, mystics and horror genres built in the first-person view is something too rare I could allow myself to miss.

However, I would never ask a girlfriend to try playing it with me. Local enemies are showing up too suddenly, and are too fast for her to deal with them. Some practice might help though, but I guess your partner won’t like what they’ll see on display in Condemned.

The Witcher 3

That’s the epic and legendary action-RPG game by CD Projekt RED that everyone knows about. The third part of a franchise, it became a real masterpiece of game design, and storytelling. I spent hundreds of hours walking it through again and again, and the number of orders I placed at https://papercoach.net to have more time to play The Witcher 3 was huge.

So… If you haven’t played this game about Geralt of Rivia yet, I’m envious. Still, you should know that it’s an adult game with an adult story and appropriate content. Your girlfriend might wonder if she accidentally sees you making a choice between two hot sorceresses and watching a very… personal and brave cutscene after.
